We picked up a chunky crochet hook at the shops today (all of ours are really thin as I tend to crochet with cotton and silks a lot of the time) and it is much better when using plastic. Still a bit tricky though.

I think we'll try recycled denim instead. I have had visions of a denim bowl on the kitchen table for quite some time now - not exactly practical I know but life's way too short to be practical all of the time!Clairehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16712579445183785360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26685039293495592.post-18149256264775290682008-06-17T06:06:00.000-07:002008-06-17T06:06:00.000-07:00Don't mind at all. I just saw one where you cut the handles and bottoms off of a stack of bags and iron them to fuse them and then cover with colored duct tape to make a new bag (looks much easier).Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00738656168812140988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26685039293495592.post-79588779731438973532008-06-16T06:09:00.000-07:002008-06-16T06:09:00.000-07:00Try just having her do a chain with her fingers. She can make a long chain and form it into a plant hanger, a place mat, decorate a picture frame or just free form art of her choosing.morningstarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04428209273664340903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26685039293495592.post-58629490971611674012008-06-16T05:26:00.000-07:002008-06-16T05:26:00.000-07:00Bummer, it is disappointing when the projects don'...Bummer, it is disappointing when the projects don't turn out how we thought they should.Kate in NJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10990374136605207993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26685039293495592.post-701194209797593662008-06-16T04:01:00.000-07:002008-06-16T04:01:00.000-07:00last year we out a national trust property and som...last year we out a national trust property and some sort of workshop had been on.
