Dancing with fire

I came across this video about a week ago and I've watched it countless times since. I'm mesmerised. I want to dance with fire in the darkness!

Doubt it's the kind of thing you learn to do at local college nightclasses and probably isn't the sort of thing you should attempt without some sort of idea of what you're doing. Hopefully it will happen one day though.

You'll have to make do with writing your name with sparklers on Bonfire night!

Yeah, you're probably right there :-)

My sister dances with fire-poi!

I'm sure she just started with ordinary poi and then moved on to fire-poi when she got good at it.

Found this on you tube for you...

It must be great to have someone you know who can do that. I guess it's much more exhilarating to watch irl.

Thanks for the links. I think I'll put some LED poi on my wish list :-)

I hope that guy on youtube doesn't wear such baggy pants when he spins fire-poi, could be very hazardous!

Hi.
I'm a new reader of your blog. :)

My friend does this. She started with normal poi, then moved onto flags then the unlit blocks before moving onto fire. There's a video of her about a year ago here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGFcm7BATGM but it ends with a bit of an accident. Oops. She was fine though.

I'd love to do it myself one day.

Hi

Welcome to my blog :-)

Thanks for the link. I probably needed to watch something like that to underline to me the importance of using play poi first :-) Pleased to hear she was ok.
